We collectively decided to have a minimum of 10 posts on our instagram account for maximum audience engagement and interaction. I was in charge of the social media page and uploaded teasers, behind the scenes and coming soon reels. Dua later made a grid post and posted that too. We also collectively posted stories too. https://www.instagram.com/_bluelightproductions/

CCR-1) How do your products represent social groups or issues? CCR-2) How do the elements of producing work together to create a sense of branding? CCR-3) How do your products engage with the audience? CCR-4) How did your research inform your products and the way they use or challenge conventions? The song "The Less I Know the Better" expresses the complex feelings of love and loss. It tells the story of a boy who has feelings for a girl, but she ends up with someone else. This concept mirrors the story in our music video, where the protagonist is still in love with a boy from a party (her ex), but he has moved on and is now with another girl. Our music video explores the emotional pain that young girls experience after heartbreak, showing how they often suppress their emotions, sometimes to the point of self-destruction. The narrative follows a teenage girl who is fixated on a boy from her high school (her ex), and after learning that he is with someone else, she spirals...

Upon creating the social media page, my team and I decided to take a different approach to customising the social media page. We all collectively decided on using this approach. While some artists would start off by posting grid posts first to establish the base of the music video, we decided to build anticipation by posting "coming soon" reels first. This rather unconventional approach attracted many viewers. We stared receiving a lot of engagement. After posting 2 "coming soon" reels, we posted 3 teasers all within story format. I also posted a short "behind the scenes" reel that I compiled with footage from my digital camera. We then posted the grid post. This strategy created an enticing feel surrounding the release of the music video. We started gaining followers and gained a lot of viewership. This was the initial rough draft of the page's layout that dua designed.

We wanted to create a buzz around our music video, and to do that, we used a bunch of different tactics. We posted on our account's stories quiet often and urged all of our friends to repost our "coming soon" reels on their stories. This ensured our page reached a vast audience. After posting coming soon reels, we decided to post a behind the scenes reel. I designed the behind the scenes reel and produced it in a montage format. This made it more sentimental and also attracted more people. It gained interaction from a lot of different people and showed glimpses of the filming process as well. Lastly, we released 3 teasers which also showed bits and pieces of the music video. These reels successfully built up anticipation in the viewers, as by the time we released the final grid post and the "Music Video Out Now" announcement, we had created a buzz. The comment sections were filled with people enthusiastically expressing their excitement.

Right from the beginning of this project, I took on most of the responsibilities. I was heading the production and was in charge of constructing most of the narrative. Firstly, I chose the song for the music video pitched the idea to Dua and Raaniya, after they both agreed, i got started on building up the plot. I wanted the storyline to have a twist and so i started brainstorming for ideas. After deciding when to film and deciding on a location to film, I made a group chat with 35 people. I sent a formal message on the group chat asking everyone who was available to join in and help me and my team out in this project. 15-17 people got back to me and confirmed that they'd be there. I then shortlisted everyone, and contacted one of my friends to rent their camera. I also rented a gimbal as well. On the morning of the shoot my friend who was supposed to play the protagonist cancelled and said he wouldn't be able to make it. Because of this caveat I decided to take on the role of ...

Once we had our first draft of the music video, it was time to get feedback so that we had a clear idea of what to improve. We decided to send the music video to our friends and family to get their views. I decided to send the video to a few of my friends. The feedback I received was very generalised and mostly targeted the acting and the cinematography, along with the uniqueness of the plot. Everyone was able to pick apart the key concepts of the video and pieced together the narrative. The feedback my team members received mainly focused on how there was some confusion in the plot and how it wasn't totally clear, however we managed to fix this before we generated the final draft.
