Introducing The Group

 

introducing the group : 

Hello! My name is Muhjah Kashif, and my teammates names are Dua-e-zainab and Raaniya Junaid. I’m looking forward to working with them, as this is the first time we’ll be working in a group together. The three of us are all in our last year of A’levels, and we were so excited to hear we’d be focusing on music videos this year. I’m especially looking forward to using our individual strengths and combining them to produce an exceptional final project. I’ve known Dua and Raaniya both for a year now, and aside from being good team members, they’re also good friends of mine. 

Despite having never worked with them before, the planning process seems to be going quiet well. We have no issues diving our work and planning our assignments. Everyone agrees on the strategies discussed and we have no trouble getting work done together. There is one small issue we face, which is time management, other than that, we don't have any problems.

Final Portfolio : Personal Contribution

Right from the beginning of this project, I took on most of the responsibilities. I was heading the production and was in charge of constructing most of the narrative. Firstly, I chose the song for the music video pitched the idea to Dua and Raaniya, after they both agreed, i got started on building up the plot. I wanted the storyline to have a twist and so i started brainstorming for ideas. After deciding when to film and deciding on a location to film, I made a group chat with 35 people. I sent a formal message on the group chat asking everyone who was available to join in and help me and my team out in this project. 15-17 people got back to me and confirmed that they'd be there. I then shortlisted everyone, and contacted one of my friends to rent their camera. I also rented a gimbal as well. Preliminary Task #1 : Music Video

  Our music video was on the song “Ikisvi Sadi” by ‘Biryani Brothers’, a Pakistani band formed by Natasha Noorani and Zahra Paracha in 2014. We chose this song as it’s a representation of Pakistani culture and language.  PLOT : The music video starts of with the actor, Muhjah (me) singing along to the lyrics, explaining how she feels like nobody understands her. There’s shots of me completely alone in a room, laying down on a sofa, looking out the window and sitting on a chair. Then we introduced the other character, Dua, who is basically my hallucination. Raaniya plays the roll of my mother. We show her scolding me and trying to explain something to me.
